Steam Store Page Now Live for 1.44MB RESCUE, a Programming Game

The Steam store page is now live for 1.44MB RESCUE, a programming game about rescuing a decaying floppy disk with code. The game is slated for release in Q4 2026, and you can add it to your wishlist today.

Program repair patchers in PyDust, a Python-style language, to salvage 20 files from a corroding 1.44MB disk. Restoring files progressively unlocks language features, letting you run up to three patchers in parallel and burn corrupted data as fuel for repairs. All graphics and audio are procedurally generated, with eight CRT themes and nine chiptune tracks unlocked by restoring MUSIC.MOD. The game will support Japanese, English, and Korean.
